Farsley Celtic Deaf FC to Play League Championship Final

By Thomas Ritchie

This weekend Farsley Celtic Deaf FC will be concluding their season as they take on Reading Deaf FC in the EDF League Championship Final.

The game will take place at Calverton Miners’ Welfare FC in Nottingham tomorrow.
Farsley Celtic Deaf FC qualified for the final by winning the EDF Northern League, whilst Reading were victorious in the EDF Southern League.

Farsley Celtic DFC secretary Bexi Quinn said: “We are proud of going unbeaten in the Northern League, winning 10 and drawing two games.

“The club have come on leaps and bounds in the last two seasons, having reached this season’s EDF Challenge Cup semi-final, as well as reaching the EDF Plate semi-final and finishing third in the EDF North League last season.

“We express our sincere gratitude to Farsley Celtic FC for the use of their training pitch as well as their main pitch, and our visiting teams have expressed their approval of the pitch.

“Last but not least, we thank our fans who gave their unwavering support and encouragement at our games, home and away, in whatever weather.”

Farsley Celtic DFC are supported by fantastic sponsors Roosters, BWS Waste Management, and Leeds Society for Deaf and Blind People, all who help with the smooth running of the club.

Everyone at Farsley Celtic would like to wish the side good luck in their final on Saturday!
