Pre-season continues as Farsley Celtic make the short trip to Eccleshill United.
The Celts and Eccleshill United also met in pre-season last year, as Farsley ran out 4-3 winners in what was Adam Lakeland's first victory since being appointed manager.
Farsley's preparations for the 2018/19 campaign eventually got underway on Friday night as they travelled to Harrogate Town, the National League side running out 3-2 winners. Ryan Watson scored the pick of the game's goals with a terrific long-range strike, with an own goal adding to the Celts' tally. Adam Lakeland handed debuts to five players on Friday, new signings Will Hayhurst, Jack Higgins and Ed Hall all starting the game, with Callum Hill and Gerry Hodgkiss appearing off the bench. All will be looking to impress once again as the opening league game away to Warrington Town grows closer. Isaac Baldwin is an injury doubt after limping off on Friday, otherwise Lakeland has a full squad to select from.
Eccleshill United are preparing for life in the NCEL Premier Division after promotion last season, where they defeated Grimsby Borough 3-2 in the play-off final. The Eagles got their pre-season campaign underway on Saturday as they lost 2-1 to Brighouse Town, Ben Hardy scoring the Eccleshill goal from the penalty spot. Manager Sean Regan was without Jonny Irving, Antony Brown and Luke Harrop for the Brighouse game, whilst Sam Bradley's playing time was limited through illness.
Tuesday's game will take place at the Mitton Group Stadium, postcode BD2 1PN. Kick off is 7.45pm and admission prices are £5 adults and £3 concessions. See you there!
