The Celts agree another Community Partnership
Farsley Celtic have agreed a partnership with UKDTA for at least the next year. UKDTA are a dance twirling academy that will use the community facilities at Throstle Nest.
Upon agreeing the partnership Steph Sherwood commented, 'UK Dance Twirl Academy was founded in February 2016 by myself as Academy Director, Nichol Pace (Academy Co-Director), Alex Westwood (Academy Treasurer) and Mike Pace (Academy Co-Ordinator).
'After handing over our Leeds based troupe which we ran for ten years, we decided that the next step was to open our very own association. We know there is a lot of competition out there, so wanted to do our association differently to the others. We wanted something new and unique to bring to the majorette world and hope we can achieve as much success with this new exciting venture'
'What makes us different is that:
Competitions will be solely held in an amazing 35x17m venue in Leeds.
They will be held on Saturday’s only, so don't take up your whole weekend.
Competitions are held in Group stages to give fair competition to troupes of all abilities.
At the end of the season the two highest scoring troupes from Group B will swap places with the two lowest scoring troupes from Group A for the following year to ensure fresh competition each season
'We are delighted to be involved in such a fantastic partnership with Farsley Celtic. They have met all of our needs and we are looking forward to a long association with the football club'
Chief Executive Joshua Greaves commented, 'It is great for us and for the wider community that again we have been chosen to host a great new national club. We are delighted to welcome the UK Dance Twirling club to the Farsley Celtic family'
