Biography

Halifax born midfielder, Chris Atkinson, started his career with Huddersfield Town, having been with the Academy since he was 7 years of age. He made his first team debut in the FA Cup win over Macclesfield Town in November 2010 and was loaned out several times before signing 'permanently' for Crewe Alexandra in 2014. Chris made 37 first team appearances for the Gresty Road side over the next two seasons and made the move to Moor Lane in October 2016 joining Salford City. He signed for the Celts on loan at the end of January 2017 making his debut against Goole AFC in the Integro League Cup Second Round fixture at The Citadel.
